Know Jesus

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

— John 3:16

Why We Need Jesus

Every one of us has felt it—that deep sense that something is missing, that we were made for more than what this world offers. We try to fill that void with success, relationships, pleasure, or possessions, but nothing truly satisfies. That emptiness exists because we were created for a relationship with God.

The problem is that our sin—the wrong things we think, say, and do—has separated us from a holy God. No matter how hard we try to be good enough, we can never bridge that gap on our own.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

— Romans 3:23

But here's the good news: God loved us so much that He made a way for us to be reconciled to Him. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again—defeating death and offering us forgiveness and eternal life.

What the Bible Says

God's Word reveals His incredible love and the gift of salvation through Jesus.

"

"But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8

"

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 6:23

"

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

John 14:6

"

"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Romans 10:9

How to Know Jesus

Receiving God's gift of salvation is simple, but it requires a genuine decision of the heart.

1

Admit Your Need

Recognize that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself. We all fall short of God's perfect standard, and we need His help.

2

Believe in Jesus

Trust that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins, and that He rose from the dead.

3

Confess and Receive

Confess your sins to God, ask for His forgiveness, and invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life. He promises to come in and make you new.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in..."

— Revelation 3:20

A Prayer to Accept Jesus

If you're ready to begin a relationship with Jesus, you can pray this prayer. It's not about the words—it's about the sincere desire of your heart to know Him.

Dear God,

I admit that I am a sinner and I need You. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose from the dead.

I am sorry for my sins. Please forgive me. I turn away from my old life and I turn to You.

Jesus, I invite You into my heart and my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for loving me, forgiving me, and giving me eternal life.

Help me to follow You and live for You every day.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
